When you work in retail, you have to think, and be prepared well ahead of the season. That means having all of your Christmas and New Years Eve items cleaned, created, priced, and ready for the holiday open house events that launch the season in early November.
Earrrrrrrrrrrly.
Now, I have always thought of myself as an early Christmas decorating person, springing out of bed the day after Thanksgiving and spending my entire day decorating my home, inside and out. While other folks are out shopping black Friday deals, I'm oohing and aah-ing over the holly wreath in my kitchen, and tweaking the tree lights so there won't be a big dark bald spot after the sun sets.
But, organizing Christmas treasures in late October feels more than a little bit off for me, although I have to admit that as I unwrapped some pretty sweet red print dishes, and pulled two par of ice skates out of the shed, I began to get the ol' Christmas spirit.
I'll try not to bombard you with too many CHristmas-before-Halloween pictures!
