Mmm hmm, the frame on the menu board is plastic.
Or resin.
Faux.
Whatever they are calling it these days.
And, it originally housed a mirror, when I found it at the GoodWill store.
Here it is, in the "Before" state, next to the sign I am reinventing (Ohmygosh! Wait till you see the plans I have for that!)
It's amazing what a little paint or primer can do for you.
I went to Home Depot and got a piece of MDF board cut to fit the frame. I brought it home and painted the board with chalkboard paint, and put it in the newly painted frame, then hung it on the dining room wall.
Now the blank wall can boast menues, or creative verses for all to read when we are sitting around the table, and it cost me less than ten bucks.
Now, that really makes me smile.
