It's funny, the wonderful stuff you'll find, right around your own home, when you open up your mind.
I've had this little chair for more than ten years. It was a cherry wood colored stain 
(and I forgot to take a picture of it in the true "before" state, but here it is, half primed with spray Kilz) and I have moved all around my cottage looking for a spot that it would fit in. Finally, it ended up in a box of "maybe - I'll - donate - this - stuff", and that is where it has been sitting for the past year.
I decided last weekend that what the little chair needed was a little make over.
I primed it, and painted it a soft Robin's egg blue. Then, I antiqued it ever so slightly.
*sigh* Instant charm.
