Happy Fourth of July!
(Before you ask...My cottage doesn't sit crooked, I hold the camera that way...)
My little cottage home is looking oh, so patriotic this week, and it makes me smile every time I drive up.
Jazzing up the front of my cottage is going to have to be next year's project. And do I have big plans; shutters, paint and flowers galore. Oh, and a meandering walkway heading up to the porch from the sidewalk. This year I am focused on my back yard. I was just lucky to be able to plant a few flowers out front in window boxes for all the window shelves, and add a few homey touches to the porch, so it looks a bit more welcoming than when I moved in last December. For this year, it will have to do.
I hope you're enjoying the day today, whether you're picnicking, barbecuing, or just taking a nice nap on the lounge chair out back.
