I am always telling you how small this world of ours is now, thanks to our fabulous internet. I feel like I have so many friends and kindred spirits out there around the world. One person I feel like I am a true kindred spirit to is Cindy.
No, we have never met in person, but through the world of Blogging, I feel like I know her. Our tastes seem to be so similar; we both share inspiration Fridays, we love nests, candlelight and bunnies, and all things romantic. We are both single, quite often times have the same books and we both shop at the same kind of shops.
Well, long story getting much longer here, Cindy shared a tremendous find from Marshalls a while back, and there I was, drooling all over my keyboard, longing for one just like it. This beverage server (Is that the correct name for such a beautiful piece? The name sounds so ordinary...) just oozes charm and quiet sophistication. (if a beverage server can ooze like that, and I think Cindy would agree that this one can, and does)
Anyway.
I have been popping by Marshalls ever since (faaaabulous store for bargains, and owned by the same parent company as TJ Maxx, so you know it's got some great finds) and last Saturday afternoon was my lucky day. There it was, tucked back behind some ordinary glass thingamabobs, hidden away on a top shelf, waiting for me. For me. We were shopping for the Maid-of-Honor, but this stopped me dead in my tracks. I told the Maid-of-honor my long winded story of how Cindy had shared it, and wasn't it just so "me" and shouldn't I just grab it up, since clearly this was meant to be? (She of course, agreed) *sigh* I'll go without something else this month in my suddenly single budget to make due, because I simply had to have it. Had to.
I cannot wait to use it with company. I have a bunch of girlfriends coming over next week, and we'll be using it then, but I couldn't bear to wait that long to test it out, so last night after work I made myself some lemon water (ooh, very spa-like) and I enjoyed it on the patio while looking at my garden and reading through my latest magazines that arrived in my mailbox yesterday.
*sigh* I am living one beautiful life. (thanks Cindy!)
