(again with the blurry, grain-ey pictures from the darned scanner. Grrrr!)
My friend Gail had an interesting suggestion this past week when I posted about working on my backyard with the old dresser for a buffet. She brought up the idea of doing some broken china mosaics for the patio.
I have always liked the broken china look with pastel colors. I might try this first on something like a birdhouse to see if I am any good at it.
Then, maybe if I am confident enough I could do the top of the bow front dresser for a neat looking outdoor buffet top. What do you think of this idea?
I think this bathtub is incredible. Actually I think the entire bathroom is incredible, with the plates on the wall and the warm colors, and that charming beadboard. (Click on the picture for it to enlarge and you can see the detail of the tub better-oh, and by the way, I also agree with the quote written on this magazine photo!)
I think I'll go inventory my vintage china pieces now and see what I can come up with!
