I'm working in my backyard this week after work while I enjoy the sun staying up later. The Bride-to-be and the fiance were here the week before last, and they surprised me with flowers potted all around in my backyard. So, so sweet and thoughtful of them.
My patio is quite large, and I am setting it up into two spaces; a living room and a dining area. Oh, I am just tickled at how charming it is turning out!
I dug through my old fabric and I came across some that I had bought for my daughter way back when for her patio. We had made two giant rectangles and they worked as curtains framing in her patio. She has since moved and I got the fabric back a couple years ago. It's outdoor fabric, sag-ey green with roses on it and I think it will work out perfectly for my patio. (And the price was right!)
The dresser that is in the sneak peek photo above is going to be serving as a fabulous buffet, complete with storage. The Maid-of-Honor got it for me about a year ago in Portland and I always meant to paint it up for the shop, but kept putting it off, hoping I'd find a spot for it in my own home... funny how that worked out. I didn't even live here then, nor would I have ever thought it was destined to be my oh, so elegant shabby buffet as is for outdoor dining. Just one of those "meant to be" kind of moments in my week.
*sigh* Another Blessing.
