...dining chairs that is.
I traded off my former dining room set (I think I may have shared before, but I will explain this very long story once the entire set is refurbished, I promise)and ended up with an antique dining table and eight of these oh, so charming and comfortable chairs.
Since the chairs needed to be redone (As well as the table) and the fact that I am going with a softer palate these days I decided to repaint the set an antiqued white. I am using the same technique as on my almost finished kitchen cupboards. (yes, I am still struggling to stay focused and finish them...maybe Memorial Day weekend?)
When I got the chairs, they were dark wood and the fabric was jewel tones. Nice, but not me anymore. Anyway, they were spotted up pretty badly.
I painted them up, and reupholstered the seats (Mocha and off white ticking fabric from the $2 Fabric Store, once again) and they are just exactly what I wanted. *sigh*
Of course, the Sewing Queen is going to make darling little caps for the tops of the backs to use for oh so special occasions (Isn't she just the best?)
The entire set will be done this weekend and I will share it all with you. It's gonna be charmingly cottage, warm and cozy. Perfect.
