We spent a good part of the Sunday making the "Save the Date" cards for the bride's upcoming wedding. Didn't they come out cute?
The colors didn't photograph as well as I would have liked, but you can get the idea. (take my word for it, the colors coordinated just perfectly, even the postage stamps!)
She chose the colors from one of her favorite flowers, hydrangeas.(a periwinkle blue and a kind of chartreuse green, which the Maid-of-Honor loves as well)
These were so easy to assemble. We printed on the swirly chartreuse (although you cannot really see the pretty swirl pattern in my photo) patterned paper, then cut it out with pinking shears and glued a ribbon tied in a knot to the paper. (get it? They're tying the knot!) We then glued that paper to the shimmery periwinkle background paper.
A second coordinating paper (one side argyle checks and the other a shimmery pale periwinkle that we printed on) was filled with additional information for the guests that are invited to stay at the Bed and Breakfast for the wedding weekend.
*sigh* Just perfect. Now, we must get these little babies addressed and in the mail.
