Biography

Tracey Buxton loves to take old furniture and reinvent it into something new and beautiful. She also loves to bake.
Her dream car is an old 1958 Chevy truck (which she doesn't actually have yet, but she is saving her pennies in the hopes of one day to be the proud owner of a classic old pickup.)
After years of painting vintage pieces for herself, her kids college houses, for friends homes, she finally decided to take it up a notch and do a few well chosen Craft Faires.
Time passed, and after about 5 years of Craft Faires, Tracey decided it was at last time to take herself very seriously and...open a REAL SHOP.
She made up goals and a time line, and low and behold, in April of 2006 Tracey found the most darling space for rent at the Arlington Gardens Mall on Plumb Lane in Reno. Advertised as 94 square feet (it was actually a whopping 8 by 8 shop, but who's counting?) Tracey grabbed the little shop and made it a haven for her wares.
In October of 2006 Tracey expanded her little shop by moving to the cottage shop next door- doubled in size- 128 sq. feet and loved every minute of it. When the time commitment became to burdensome (she has a grown up job Mondays through Fridays each week as well) Tracey decided another change was needed.
In April 2007, Tracey moved her little Cottage Industry yet again. This time to the Arts and Antique Mall in downtown Reno, where she had the most charming booth stocked full of painted vintage treasures, all one of a kind treasures.
Currently Tracey showcases her painted vintage furniture at various Trunk and Porch Shows, held at the dear cottage she is currently reinventing with much love and creativity, in Reno, NV where she lives along with her faithful Golden Retriever, Bear, and her Grand-dog Moose.
You'll find Tracey on many Saturdays, baking cupcakes and cookies, painting furniture or making papercrafts in her little cottage that is destined to become known as "The jewel of Norman Drive".
