(And, that totally might be the case, since golf season has now ended.)
Which ever it is, I am not complaining.
Last weekend my Mom took a ride with me down to Camas Antiques to pick up some props from the pumpkin pageant the day before, and while we were there fluffing things up in my booth, I needed no less than three items (price stickers, thumbtacks, tape...) and I had left my trusty little vintage-train-case-turned-junk-dealer-supply-kit at home.
My Mom (The Sewing Queen) commented that I really should have an extra, smaller junk vendor toolkit that I leave in the car.
(Yes! Great idea.)
I told her that as soon as the upcoming event at the store was over I would do that, and then, yesterday when I returned home from running to the thrift store (It's half off at Salvation Army here on Wednesdays.) I discovered that my Mom had popped by and left me a little prezzie.
It was several cute little cases, filled with extra booth supplies. She even supplied me with some extra empty pharmacy containers to hold other things, like my tiny price tags, (perfect!) and....a teeny tiny flashlight.
(Which is one reason I am questioning the amount of time she may or may not be spending cruising through the Dollar Tree.)
My most favorite thing was the thumbtacks stuck in a wine cork. Brilliant. (And cute.) Easy to find, and grab a thumbtack, or put away, as needed.
(Which is often when you need to hang as many paper banners as I do.)
The only thing suspiciously missing from the clever kit was chocolate.
You know, for emergency energy or stress?
(Mom, did you perhaps get me some peanut clusters, and then...eat them?)
(Heh heh. I kid. I'm a Big Hunk girl these days. We all know that my Mom is the peanut cluster girl.)
Seriously though, I love it all, and I love her for all of the thoughtfulness and love that went into my new keep-in-the-car-junk-vendor kit.
