I wanted to have some sort of take away for the shoppers and guests who take the time to check out my tablescapes, and so I decided on a little booklet of sorts. I created each page separately and then ordered postcard sized copies from Vistaprint, and I was thrilled when they arrived yesterday afternoon.
I'm always happy with the quality of their work, but it is hard to gauge how large your text will be when when doing things in a five by seven inch size. I was kind of shocked when I saw the small size of the printed text on one of the pages, but it will have to do. Lesson learned. Less text, and then, keep it as large as you can. (Ah, the old less is more thing again...)
I spent last night watching the Voice and This Is Us, while assembling the pages for the little flip book. I got into a nice rhythm of stack-stack-line-up-punch-hole-add-ring and piled them into one of my old vintage wash basin bowls.
I'm still deciding on a finishing touch for the kraft paper envelopes I will be putting them in, and I'm sure I'll come up with something at some point today or tomorrow.
As for today, I will tackle the outdoor Friendsgiving tablescape. I'm going with lots of plaids, and using a lot of grey and orange. I think it might be my favorite tablescape of the bunch...we shall see!
