I think I like making ordinary days into special memories almost more than I enjoy creating things for holidays. Yesterday my Rocker took his two grown sons to a Pro Baseball game, and I decided to add a little more fun to an already fun day.
I made Rice Crispy Treats (One of my Rock n' Roll Buddy's favorite treats.)and put them in a To-Go box, all dolled up with ribbon with a couple of home made tags. I got my To-Go boxes a few years ago at a yard sale where someone had closed a restaurant, but you can buy these gems in bulk at places like Cash and Carry if you have one near you, or online from companies like ULine. They are super to have on hand for boxing up treats for friends anytime, and I have almost used up my entire bag of 250 boxes.
For some extra fun on the three hour car ride up to Seattle, I looked up a Trivia Quiz online about the team.I copy-pasted it into a word document, and then printed it, with the answers on a separate sheet of paper.
The guys called me from the car later to say how much fun they had with the quiz, and it made me happy to know I had added to their day. (And, I got to enjoy a little creative time making things up!)
Oh yes, I'm all about living a charmed life on a shoestring.

You are just so clever......and considerate.
Sounds like they must have had fun. Marie

What a fabulous (and fun) idea! I bet your Rock n'Roll Buddy's sons are telling him 'you're a keeper'!
