I get by with a little help from my online friends.

You know that commercial for a cell phone company where the guy has an entire network of people following him everywhere he goes? Well, that is exactly how I see my Internet friends.

Seriously, how did we get by before there was such a thing as internet peeps?

Thanks to blogging, FaceBook, Twitter, Pinterest and now Instagram, I can throw a question out there and BAM! Within mere minutes some internet friend has an answer or two, or six for me. Last week I began pinning ideas for an upcoming baby shower with a slant towards bumble bees.

(Not over-the-top cutesy with bees perched on everything, but a few here and there.)

(Not that there is anything wrong with cutesy, it's just not me.)

Anyway.

After seeing someone's party pictures on Pinterest, I googled, and found a darling reproduction beverage server on ebay that resembled a bee skep, so I pinned it to have it on hand to refer to while deciding if I should buy it...(you know, paying shipping and all that....) The next thing I knew, two friends responded to my pin, letting me know where I could find the beverage server locally.

For less.

With no shpping fees.

I love it when that happens!

I think it's just awesome, living in these times of cutting edge, creative technology, where we can literally have a hundred-million-kajillion friends. It makes the world a much friendlier place, don't you agree?

I am so glad you found it locally! I just used mine yesterday for a breezy lunch with frinds outside. It was a fun addition to our outdoor party. I think the baby shower is going to "bee" adorable:>)

I have that exact dispenser..my friend from Australia had it shipped to me before she came for a visit...I love mine and use it to serve beverages for large crowds..mine did not come with a stand but I use a nice clear pedestal cakestand and it works out fine...have you ever added fresh basil to your lemonade? so yummy...and even cutter is to use one of those paper punch thingys (mine is leaf shaped)when you add your basil or mint, etc..

Fred Meyer in Vancouver had it!! I am guessing all of the Freddies must have em...the other source is TJ Maxx or HomeGoods, but I have not checked there yet...I got mine at Freddies.
