I am living in a town home these days, and I must tell you that I am surprised at just how much I like the town home lifestyle. No yard work, (Just caring for all of my flowers and herbs in pots!) a park like setting to enjoy...and I don't hear my neighbors through the walls, which was one of the things I had wondered about.
Another thing about town homes is that the outside of the homes are connected, so obviously, we are all the painted varying shades within the same same color scheme, and everyone's porches are very similar. I wanted to add some personality to my porch, and I started working on this project last weekend. After all, my front porch area is the first thing anyone sees when arriving to visit, and I want it to make a good first impression- a friendly, welcoming impression. I thought I'd share the "before" and "almost all the way after" pictures...
(I say "Almost all the way after" because I do have one more little project I am working on for the porch area, complete with a tutorial, which I will share as soon as it is complete!) In the meantime, I am happy with my progress on the porch so far.

Oooo, pretty! Love the flowers! The wicker chair with throw, too. Makes it look very welcoming.

It looks cheerful and inviting. If I were single, I think townhome living would be the thing for me.

A wreath for the front door? Well I'm a florist and that's what I think you are doing next, ha ha
Lovely, lovely porch.

I am excited about townhome living. I could get into that! Your porch is divine. You have a lot of steps!!! :-( I would struggle with those.

Love the look...nice and inviting. The flowers draw your eye in to your home and the chair with the throw says "come sit and enjoy". I love it!

If I happened to be strolling past your door Tracey I'd recognize easily that hospitality lived there......not that it's any surprise to us to see 'lovely' at your entranceway.....you could beautify & transform a space faster than Clark Kent's change into 'youknowwho'! :o)
God Bless,
Barbra.

I love to see people make a town or garden home their own. Yours looks nice and cozy.
Loved the pictures of your booth in the earlier post, too!

Great looking entry. At first glance, I thought you had topiaries on either side of the steps. Love the little quilt too. What a beautiful blog to offer to your readers. We're fortunate in so many ways.
