You've heard of this publication, right? It began as a brilliant book, and then turned into a quarterly so-much-more-than-just-a-magazine, and I look forward to each new issue. Such inspiration. So many talented women, and over the top creative work spaces! They have a pretty incredible blog as well, in case you didn't know... Oh, and now, one of my most favorite blogger-photographers, Elizabeth Maxim, is working for them! (It just keeps getting better..)
Anyway.
I am now getting (finally) to the point where I am very nearly ready to get my office-slash-work space dialed in completely. I have been truly blessed with an absolute dream room situation here in my new place. It began, as you may recall, as Mr. C's dream of a nursery.....
(mmm hmmm. Ya, that wonderful room!)...and I am looking through all of my issues of Where Women Create for inspirational ideas for this room, and my mind is so full of ideas that I am operating on complete creative overload. Does that ever happen to you? So many ideas spinning around in your head that you cannot even sleep? It's the same feeling I used to get as a child the night before Christmas.
The wall colors are perfect for me, and the room is full of natural light and storage space. I plan to share my progress on this room creation over the next couple of weeks, once I finish unboxing all of my oodles and toodles of crafty supplies and get to the fun part of setting up the room itself!

I never read the book, but I love the magazine. I, like you get overwhelmed with ideas and don't know where to start.
Looking forward to seeing what you do in your "creating" room. Sometimes I just want to clear out mine and start over...but too busy creating.

Love what you have done with your little shelf area so far and I can't wait to see if you're going to use your big cabinet from your old workroom! I remember the post from when you and the other Tracey moved it into your old room.

As far as the old giant hitch pieces goes.....Sorry, but that piece was not moved from Reno...I was too afraid I
wouldnt live in a place large enough to handle it! I sold it to the
girls next door to 41 Taylor.

Tracey:
I have been reading your blog for a couple of years but didn't have my own blog till recently. Now I feel "legit" about making comments! In fact, this is my first blog comment ever! I have enjoyed your stories of how you are successfully weathering the changes in your life. Visually, your blog is beautiful and your workshop already looks delightful with the striped wall.
Thanks for all you give to the blogworld!

Loved it as Mr. C's nursery and look forward to seeing you make it your own space.
Whirling ideas? Yes! I've learned to step away from the computer early so I can get to sleep--just too many great ideas and bloggers out there. Love your regular inspiration!

Tracey,
Can't wait to see how your creative space evolves! I love all the Stampington & Company publications and struggle every time I'm in the bookstore to decide which one to take home with me. Total inspiration. I'm not sure what I love more in the Where Women Create magazine...the photos of the studios or the stories about the incredible artists. It wouldn't surprise me if your story and studio grace its pages in the future!
