I shared a couple of weeks ago that I devised a plan of attack for keeping on track with all of the different avenues I take these days to earn my living. (Along with unpacking and nesting in my new home) So far, I am keeping on track pretty well, thankyouverymuch, and the good news is that I am seeing more and more light at the end of the tunnel.
One casualty though, has been my dining room, and the table in particular. (Yes, it's there, in the photo. You just can't see it for all of the items covering the top of it.) The dining room has morphed into a Command Central of sorts, housing cans of paint I use (the garage is too cold at night and makes the paint get kind of thick, and there are still quite a few boxes out there!) and bits and pieces of things I am in the midst of creating.
*sigh* Oh well. Maybe once I get my office completely unpacked I can move this creative mess up there. For now, I am just happy to getting things completed and inching ahead on the box situation around here.

I can relate to the dining room mess and I HATE it!!! My garage is detached and uninsultaed, but even at that I can work in there well into autumn with the careful and strategic use of two space heaters. I can get the temperature up by 20 degrees. Oh, and a battered rug on the floor helps too.

I feel your pain. I like to think of a messy dining room as Performance Art and when that doesn't do it I remember a sampler stitched on the wall of a dear friend that reads, "A well kept house is a sign of a mispent life."

You are doing amazingly well for the short time that you have been there. Don't be too hard on yourself. There have to be "messes" somewhere. I have them all over the place and I've been here 13 years. They just find you no matter where you are.

I love this kind of mess! My whole house is like this - all the time! At least you are following your heart Tracey, and that is the most important thing in life. You should be so proud of yourself for achieving all that you have so far.
You rock!

Dont' you just wish we could wave a magic wand and get more hours added to our days? So many wonderful ideas, so little time. I too have to work full time....and at times I get so jealous of those that don't! The people I get aggravated at tho, are those that say "they are bored". Are you kidding me? How can a person ever get bored????? Keep up the great work. I love reading about it each day.

It's fun to see your process and progress... and your booth space (from yesterday) looks so great! I tend to paint in the garage and then stack things in the laundry room to dry. It makes for a great obstacle course when attempting the laundry piles.

Hi Tracey~ I have been reading and following your blog for some time and am continually inspired by your projects and your "shoppe". I would love to paint my kitchen table and chairs (they are an ash finish-yuck!)an off-white. Would you mind sharing the color of paint you use on your funriture pieces? I love that look. Thank you.
