See the cute sign in the photo? That's one of my friend's favorite sayings. She gave me the three foot long framed welcome sign that she got on clearance at TJ Maxx longer ago than I care to admit.(you won't even believe how long ago...let's just say that sign has spent all four seasons at my home) Today I will give it to her and she will hang it in her office at work (if she remembers why she wanted it)
I had offered to repaint it with her favorite saying and then...well, I kept putting it off, doing other things, then I actually forgot I had it after a few months...then, I remembered, and procrastinated some more. (What is up with that?! Why did I do that?!) I even printed my wording template two different times (Um, ya...I had to print it a second time, 'coz I took so long that I lost the first template.)
Anyway.
Finally, finally, this weekend, I got it finished. The shroud of guilt has been lifted! Tonight I am planning on starting to paint three small furniture pieces for another friend that has been patiently waiting since before the Tumbleweed Cotillion.
I want to get them done before autumn arrives.

Looks great! You are such a good friend!
Have a great day!

I really like the colors you used on this sign. Could you please tell me what the color name is that you used for the words and the background? Thanks!
You do great work!

I got to thinking that my reply probably doesn't make sense to anyone else, but Tracey knows what I mean!! (I have told her about garage full of "projects" that I have every intention of getting to.)
Tracey, life does get in the way and I am sure your friend understands that! I am sure she is thrilled with the finished project and feels it is well worth the wait!!!

I love your signs and your great tips on how to make them. What font did you use? It's perfect. I've been racking my brain on how to make signs for weeks, thought I needed to used stencils. This is soooo much easier and you have unlimited fonts and sizes! I'm glad I found your blog, thanks to Cindy. She told me you were one of her top three! You're now on my short list as well.
