Last week we had a heat wave hit the biggest little city. We went from the high 60's to 95 degrees within a matter of a few days. We've cooled back off a bit to more normal temperatures now, but it got everyone in the mood for gardening, and then it occurred to me...
Remember the holiday home tour last Christmas? It was so inspiring to see each other's homes and holiday decor ideas! Why not have a garden home tour in June like we had a holiday home tour last December? Sound fun? Here's what I am thinking...
If you'd like to share pictures and a post about your garden, your summer porch, backyard or patio, whether it be big or small, you know, all of your outdoor living spaces, which is my favorite part of outside...bringing the inside out!
(you can use photos from this year or a past year- the idea is to inspire us all with your outdoor decor and blooms!) send me your blog link before June 17th (and one photo if you like) and I'll compile them all into one big post on my blog, linking your blog to mine. Then, I'll publish the post on Wednesday, June 18th. (This gives us all a few weeks to get motivated to finish getting our gardens and outdoor living spaces prettied up!)
Feel free to take my little logo picture at the top of this post to post on your blog on the sidebar or whatever. (See what I mean? This will work exactly like the holiday tour did last December!)
Does this sound fun? I hope so!
I'm off to water my flowers now.

I'll have to live vicariously through those participating ... I've moved to a townhouse with a tiny little patio.
I do my window boxes and that's about it. Cry, cry, I miss my garden!

Very cool idea. I don't have a blog but I do have a picture of something I did last year. It was beautiful...until the dogs got into it and dug up all my flowers.
I love my dogs dearly but at that point I would have cheerfully beat them both. I didn't of course but the thought did cross my mind. LOL

Well....I'm going to TRY to get my back porch done in time to get a picture to you...here's hoping! Maybe if I'd go work on it instead of surfing the web....hmm....

That sounds like so much fun! I think my hydrangeas will even be blooming by then!

Oooh, this will be fun. And the lead time is great since not much is blooming right now. By then I should have a few roses and hydrangeas.

This sounds wonderful. I live in a tiny basement apartment right now, but my boys and I are going to Home Depot this weekend to get the things we need to do our strawberry and tomato plants. I think we'll pick up some extra pots and plant some flowers too. I'll take some pictures once they're all planted and participate. :)

What a great idea. Sadly enough I've only a small balcony...it was so hard to find some chais small enough so that two people can sit comfortly...now we are in search for a matching table...
I have to think of a potential way to fotograph my little space...when I have found it I'd love to participate!
