GAP KIDS.
Last Sunday I made a 2 hour brief stop at the
Kids Gap at Reno's newest Mall. Actually, until the big announcement I
was unaware we had such a store. I headed in there to pick up a little
somethin' somethin' for the Mother-to-be for Mother's day.
Oh.
My life will never be the same. For Gramma'sand Nonnies and Meme's-to-be, GAP KIDS is the Disneyland of baby and maternity clothes. I could have stayed there all day, drooling on the sweet baby clothes and stuffed animals. Little shoes, shirts and bonnets. Little sweaters and coveralls. And the outfits for the Mama's-to-be! So stylish. (And not a single "Baby on Board" shirt in sight, thankyouverymuch.)
In the end I found somethin' alright. Several somethin's to be a bit more precise. All too adorable. They're gonna be darling on her.
I still can't believe she's pregnant.
*sigh* As if she wasn't already cute enough.

OOOOOOOOOH, just wait until you get inside a Gymboree store!!! It's a death-trap for your wallet! I worked in one when my oldest was a toddler. I'm pretty sure I never brought home a single paycheck! I still love The Gap and Old Navy for my boys...they make good stuff!

You are just too cute! Excuse me while I finish laughing, because I understand what you're going through and I know it's only going to get much, much worse. This is only the beginning! And, by the way, is it Meme?

Tracey,
We have a Baby Gap here and a Gap Maternity section as well. My eldest daughter is due the end of July....I bought her a sweater, slacks, capris and shorts for Mother's Day. Had to, girl. They were on sale!
Gymboree has amazing sales and their clothing is sooo cute.
Just received my patterns in my email this morning....can't wait to try them. I am throwing a shower for my niece in June and I am sure I will be able to incorporate some of your great ideas. Thanks

It is irresistible to keep your self out of baby stores, now, isn't it?? I know, I know......don't forget to check out all the Etsy stores that have adorable hip altered onesies and burp clothes!

You might as well get a 2nd (or 3rd) job because once you find out what the baby will be (girl or boy) you'll go overboard buying stuff. The twins are almost 4 and most of my money goes to buying stuff for them. When Shannon knew it was twins, I bought so much stuff, most of it never got worn, lots of it still had tags on it when we finally passed it along to her friends who had babies!
Have fun shopping!

It's amazing the impact of being a grandmother has on our finances. But, my philosophy is - if I see it and like it - take it home. We grandmothers shouldn't have to justify our actions.

Loved these stores when my first grands were born....a boy and a girl just 12 days apart! What fun! Then came another, and another and another and now we have 8 grands...we are so very blessed, but, cannot shop these wonderful stores any longer. Good news is that the clothes just last and last from BabyGap! My 2 year old granddaughter, Olivia, is wearing her big sister's embroidered jean jacket size 2 and her big sis is now 14! So, that proves it is well-worth the cost. I find Target has some adorable clothes and now I just buy gift cards to Holister and Justice....smile

Love Baby Gap!
Make sure to check out Gymboree & if you want super sweet baby clothes, try Jack and Janie...they are absolutely adorable & very high quality.
I am addicted to all of the stores mentioned, my wallet has mothes flying out b/c I spend way to much there on my 20 month old! LOL
Have fun shopping!!

Forget Gap and Gymboree.
Tracey, I double-dog-dare you to order a Pottery Barn Kids catalog.
Just you wait.
(Actually, great inspiration for painting nursery furniture there.)

It's addictive! Grandmothers cannot stay away. Come up and visit me, Tracey. I live just a few miles from the Baby Gap OUTLET. We could have such fun in there. ~Adrienne~

You're going to have such fun being a grandma! And I'm sure your daughter will appreciate all of your shopping too.
Baby Gap is the best! Their clothes wash up so well and hold up though multiple children.
I've been reading your blog for a while now and thought I should say hello.
Hello!
