I was down at the new antique mall all day Monday, (Memorial Day) getting my booth set up. Back and forth, hauling treasures from the garage to the booth, prettying up the wall space, and creating a charming feeling within my little slice of the mall. Then, more work Tuesday and Wednesday nights after work and Thursday on my lunch break from the grown up girl job. Whew! It's all coming together quite nicely, if I do say so myself. (now, keep in mind, this is the "bones" of my booth; the backdrop for the treasures and trinkets to appear later this weekend.)
The very cool old brick building has character, but the back of my booth is done in peg board. While I like the versatility of pegboard, it certainly doesn't lend itself to any vintage theme I had in mind. What to do? well... I "wallpapered" the walls in my area with old book pages and copies of vintage photographs... and I plan on adding lots of little surprises too...
They will be doing a soft opening today and I want everything to look perfect, although I won't have the booth stocked fully for a few more days. (probably not until Sunday afternoon, and I'll share more pictures then!) I hope to sell some of my overflow pieces there before the Tumbleweed Cotillion at the end of June...we'll see what happens!

Tracey, your booth really looks good. I have a booth in Dallas, TX and it's hard work, will be returning often to read your post.

Tracy, your booth is going to be beautiful! I've done it before and it's hard work, but so rewarding.
I got both posts, and the test, but the right side of the page is blank.
Good luck!

Your booth looks fabulous!!! Very creative way of covering up the peg board, too. I can't wait to see the finished product with all of your goodies in there! It's going to be wonderful, and I bet you have a very successful opening!!!!

I watched the little video from your news station. I was glad to see what you look like in flesh and bones. Do you know what? For some reason I thought you were much older. In my head, I just had this older woman imagined. And so there was this older woman's voice that went along with it, but I found out I was mistaken. No wonder you are so creative---you are such a beautiful, youthful person. And your lovely home showed up even lovelier on the TV spot.
Can we people who have no life of our own and live off of yours get an update? Didn't you put the cottage up for sale? Is it still for sale or have you changed your mind? And what about that lovely farm with so much potential? These are all things that I wonder about when I visit your blog.

Older?! LOL! Well, I am nearly 51 and a half years old, and that's what it looks like on me.
The cottage is STILL for sale...it's a tough market here in northern NV and not many lookers at all. I know when it's time for it to sell it will.(but that doesn't make it any easier to be patient!!)

Your space looks lovely.
Hey, you are going to kill me but I must have deleted your address. I'm so sorry.
I have packaged up your box and was going to take it to the post office today. When I went to search for your address I couldn't find it again. Can you please email it to me once again. I'm so SORRY!

Your booth is looking FAB...I know ALL the hard work that goes into them...I used to have one myself...and LOVED having it...long story about why I gave it up...but the bug to hunt for those treasures has never left me...sometimes I buy things...thinking I may start my little cottage industry back up one day...it just never leaves you...hunting for that perfect treasure or that rare find.
You have such an eye and are terribly creative...you will do very well.
As for the site...I've seen a few of your blogs...but nothing on the right side of the blog page...sorry!
Blessings...

So glad to come across your blog! LOVE the book pages as wallpaper. I'm renovating a cottage right now and you've inspired me to do that somewhere in our house! :-)

Can I bother you with another question, I have toyed with this idea myself, can I be so rude to ask , is it possible to make any money doing this ? With this economy I really need to make some extra money. thanks for whatever you might share. Blessings, robin
