The happiest little cottage in Reno, Nevada just went on the market.
This wonderfully special home helped save my life in more ways than one, these past many months.
In the beginning, it provided many a late night project that helped me to fill those lonely, scared, sleepless nights. Then, it presented a warm and welcome haven to come home to each night, to keep my sanity and many happy, memory making meals with family and friends gathered around the table.
Now it's time for someone else to enjoy it's warm embrace.

What a big step? Do you know where you will be landing?
Good Luck with the sale! ((hugs)) Rosie

Best wishes with the sale, and your move. Its very hard, I know. Hubby and I have been together 27 years, and been in 4 homes. We are just, after 6 years finishing this one, and plan on moving to our LAST home in another two years. I know I will cry! Your pics are gorgeous, your home is just beautiful!
Posted by: Terri | March 29, 2008 at 05:10 AM
Wow...didn't see that one coming. I, too, feel "sad"...What are your plans for the future? Will you be staying in Reno or heading to "P"town to be closer to your children? How nosy am I being!!! Sorry, it just feels like my next door neighbor and friend told me she's moving!
Posted by: Joyce | March 29, 2008 at 05:19 AM
Didn't see this coming...good luck with your new adventure. Please take us along with you! I know this charmer will sell fast.

Wow Tracey!
I am flabbergasted that you just did it without asking us first? haha. And I was still waiting for the laundry room reveal! It has been so much fun watching you reveal bit by bit of your adorable home and sharing with us the labor pains as well as the "Bliss" afterwards. You won't have any trouble selling it, that's for sure. Best of luck to you. I eagerly await the next phase of your endeavors. Will you be moving closer to your girls? Cupcake farm in your future?
Posted by: Connie | March 29, 2008 at 05:51 AM
Oh Tracey! Good for you! Are you moving to Portland? Sure will be hard for you to leave Nevada But it sure would be nice for you to live closer to your daughters. Hope a buyer for your little haven comes along at just the right time. Do I smell sweet little cupcakes bakin in the oven?
Posted by: Vanessa | March 29, 2008 at 05:58 AM
Does this mean you are buying the farmhouse with all of the outbuildings? Don't keep us in suspense!
Posted by: Barb | March 29, 2008 at 06:10 AM
Ditto! Don't keep us in suspense. . .
Best of luck, your cottage is darling and I know it won't stay on the market long.
Let us know what's going on!

Have you bought the farm?!?!?!
I am just imagining the look on the face of whoever is trudging around from dreary real estate prospect to dreary real estate prospect and how they will hear the angels singing when the front door of your cottage is opened. What a lucky person! You have filled the walls of that place with love and happiness and creativity and I know it will rub off on the next owners.
So--where will we all be moving? You know you are in this thing with many invisible people looking over your shoulder.

Does this mean you're moving to Portland? For a new life filled with cupcakes and/or events? How exciting! And it means you can start all over making another house into a sweet cottage!

You have made your cottage a real haven. Somewhere, someone is praying to be led to just such a darling home. Oh, God's hand is always as work in mysterious ways.
I guess I'll have to join the "chorus of the curious" and ask "What's next?". It's almost like you've turned into a character in our favorite show - we must know what the next episode holds!

Oh my! I must say this has caught me by total surprise...for a few reasons...one being HOW in the heavens above did you have time to get a home ready to sell...along with all the wedding planning you have been doing??? L-A-D-Y (said in my very best and crazy Jerry Lewis voice) how do you do it???? I love your cottage and have no doubt every perpective buyer will love it as much...I see a "bidding war" in your future!! I do hope you fill us in on your upcoming adventures...and remember we are all family out here...waiting w/baited breath...I am rubbing my hands together with excitetment...do I see FARM...CUPCAKES...NEW TRADITIONS...in your future???
Blessings...
