Simply cranberries

Christmas_decor_031    I'm working on putting out my Christmas decor this week, whittling through all the many (15 to be exact!) boxes of decorations from years gone by. These faux cranberry trees are from WalMart (I got them about 3 years ago...) and I do love them. Just the right size for my kitchen table.

As you can see, my kitchen table isn't terribly large, (I think it's 42 inches across...) so big centerpieces make it impossible to enjoy a meal, or to see who you're eating with, and I don't like to have to remove the centerpiece just to sit down.  The cranberry trees don't take up too much room, and they look so festive.
I think these are just perfect here.
This year I am going much more into the soothing, sophisticated holiday blues and silver instead of the traditional red and green, but this is one of my exceptions. There are a few more splashes of red and green, which I'll share as the week goes on.
What are you putting on your holiday table this year?

So pretty, I love the toile, (my dining room has black & white toile and checks and cream walls) Mt holiday table changes weekly, I can never just pick one thing and stick with it and the black & cream makes it easy to go with bright colors like red or with silver and white, or even a nice green!

Hey Tracey, I just purchased one of these on Sunday afternoon from Home Depot - - ten bucks!! I should have checked Walmart first. . . but Home Depot only had two left and I didn't want to be without one. I purchased it for a small urn that I have. I placed it in the urn and it looks amazingly elegant. Should I find one cheaper, you can bet I'll be returning my original purchase to Home Depot.

Your home always looks lovely.

Blessings,

Sher

This is beautiful in its simplicity. To be honest, I'm beginning to favor a "little" less is more for Christmas.
Please continue to share!

Ooooh! I need one of those for my breakfast table! I have blue/yellow/red in my kitchen and the cutest snowman placesmats with those colors. The kitchen is where I indulge my love of snowmen! One of those trees would look so good in there!

On my dining room table, I've been playing around with arrangements. Right now it is a large cloche on a silver tray with sugared fruit and greenery. It will probably change! hehe

Beautiful kitchen - looking forward to seeing more of your decorations!

Simple, yet the red on the black and white table cloth makes a bold statement.

Beautiful!

That table is so beautiful with the toile and checks! The cranberry trees are perfect! I'm filling my white 3-tiered dish (the one you like) with faux sugared fruit. It's looking a little boring though so I have to think of something to add to it...maybe some magnolia leaves???

Your kitchen table is lovely; I love your tablecloth--so frenchie, and elegant.

Your Christmas decorations are lovely too.

Have a blessed day.

Have I told you that every time I visit your site, I feel like I'm coming "home"? You have an incredible gift and we are blessed that you share it with us!

I haven't decided what to put on my table this year, but I'll know it when I see it!

Many Blessings,
Melissa

I love those, and they fit perfectly on that table. I totally agree, I hate to take centerpieces off the table to eat, so they have to fit!

Can I move in with you? Your home is simiply lovely. My table.... It is huge and I have ordered a snowy village to make from hearth and song... We will see. I want some pretty bottle brush trees to go in my snowy village. Help? Anyone know where I can find some pretty ones in red or white????? (that don't cost a million dollars?????))))

I love your cranberry trees!!
I am putting a sparkly snowman under a cloche on my kitchen table. On my dining room table I put my giant dough bowl filled with twigs, Christmas balls and glittery garland.

The bottle brush trees are often sold at toy stores, alongside the train sets. Green ones can be bleached.

Tracey -- your breakfast table is lovely -- for me restrained sophistication makes a nice statement.
On my breakfast table what I usually find is a cat.

Jenny

I've always loved cranberry trees like that, but for some reason have never bought any. Wonder why?? They look lovely on your table.

Both the cranberry trees and the table coverings and all are just beautiful. Lovely!

So very pretty. I love the b/w toile with the punch of cranberries (in a nice way... not punch in the tummy or punch with an ice ring, of course!)

I found a beautiful gold sleigh at the thrift store that I'm going to put on my dining room table and put either a red poinsettia or roses
inside. Then, I'll have candles on each side.

I'm still unsure about the tablecloth. I have a crocheted one that I like to use and either use a table runner or square tablecloth turned at an angle.

Just gorgeous, Sweets!
