This time of year I find candlelight especially inspirational. The warm welcome glow, the romantic light it casts on everything.
Taking a bath by candle light or dining with the flicker of candles makes the ordinary extraordinary. I use candles in most rooms of my cottage to add a sense of calm and peacufulness.
I like scented candles as well. Lavender, vanilla, peach in summer, apple spice in Autumn...
*sigh* There's nothing nicer than a room full of romantic candlelight that smells lovely too.

I'm addicted to candles myself. Always have one buring. . .at least in my kitchen. I also love to visit Yankee Candle and "sniff" the candles, the new scents. My girls get so embarrased. Oh, well.
Blessings,
Sher

I love candles this time of year, especially. It adds something so special. I put them away in the spring and get them out on October 1st. Somehow it makes them more special. ~Adrienne~

I love them too. I am very particular about the scents, though. I sniff and sniff until I find ones that are not too "fake" smelling.

I love candles too! It's amazing how the ambiance in a room can change just by lighting a candle (or 10)

I'm a scented candle person. Can't pass by a candle without taking a sniff and am always so disappointed if it doesn't. I really should light regular candles more, though. Yours are lovely.

On a separate note, I've been meaning to let you know how much I have enjoyed my Gift Wrapping binder and CD and found you charming and so wonderful to watch! Look out Martha, there's a new girl in town!

unfortunately, with the little guys, I don't like to have candles burning. But, the smell is nice... that, and my cat set her tail on fire once from a candle...

Smell a candle made by "Trapp" and you'll never want anything else. A small $4.oo votive scents my entire large house within 10 minutes. Their variety of scents are different, more real. I wish I had found these before I spent $$$ trying every other kind. Maybe this bit of advice will save you a penny too.
