A weekend getaway and breakfast at Mothers

Breakfast_at_mothers ...it just doesn't get any better than that.

Hello all! I was away from my computer all weekend, and not able to post! Oh, so sorry I hadn't told you all in advance...and thanks for the concerned emails. I felt so missed and loved!
I meant to write my Saturday post, as well as my usual Words to Live by post before I left town Friday evening, but somehow, time slipped away and then I thought I'd have time to write in Portland. Not so. Busy, busy, busy!(and having far too much fun!)
It was a full weekend of of time with my favorite girls and wedding planning, complete with a bridal fair, thankyouverymuch! We also had time to hit my all time favorite breakfast place on the planet Sunday morning before the Bridal faire...that's right, Mothers. The men even got to join us for this treat.
A complete weekend full of gown shopping, (we found it!) theme talking, location discussing, debating the time of year and a date (does anyone really care if you get married on the "Ides of March"?) and anything else wedding. *sigh* It was heaven, I tell you.

*sigh* This little getaway was just what the doctor ordered to snap me out of my rough week. It put everything back in perspective on what really matters, and I've got. it. all.

So glad to know your absence was due to having a good time!!!
I would love to have a goodtimes weekend like this soon.
Have a great week.

Good for you!So glad you had a great, happy weekend!

Yes, I was worried about you!!! I am so glad you were out having fun!!

It sounds like a wonderful weekend! There is something about having a day with our favorite girls (DD's) to lift our spirits!

Happy Monday!!!

Looks like a fun time and yes, you.do.have.it.all. Glad your spirits are up!
Janet

Tracey, I'm so glad to hear your time away from blogging was spent having fun!! I was worried about you.

Nothing puts life back into perspective like spending time with your children. . . our "blessings" from above. (Soon, you'll probably have yourself some little "grandbabies" to dote on and love too).

Blessings,

Sher

So glad you had a great weekend!

That place reminds me of my favorite breakfast/brunch spot here in Alabama. Old building with brick walls and the best food ever!

You're right - you do have it all! So you were up in my neck of the woods. You came when we had incredible weather. I'm so glad you were able to get away and do something special with your girls. And glad to hear that wedding plans are coming together. Can't wait to hear more. ~Adrienne~

Glad you had fun!

Yes, you've really "got it." What a neat blog AND, oh, Tracey! I received the wonderful DVD and notebook in the mail on Friday. It was so enjoyable. Already, since I watched it, I have "wrapped" two different gifts. One was just a new Paula Deen Christmas magazine I wanted to give a friend, but I took tissue and wrapped it like you did our notebooks with the little tie and hang tags... It looked spectacular and elevated the whole thing to just a "party" for one! She was soooo impressed that somebody took the time to "make it special." I also made little handmade fairy tags for a baby gift... so cute... Would have been easier with my computer hooked up, but it was fun to hand draw them, too.... And it was for an art teacher, so she really was nice about it. All in all, your DVD and YOU are simply inspirational. Way. cool.

Glad you had a good weekend, Tracey. I received the package with the DVD and gift wrap guide last week. What fun to see you in person! The DVD is great - I got some new ideas and I'm looking forward to wrapping with pizzazz this Christmas!

my daughters just moved to p-town! Where is Mother's? It sounds like a place we need to eat!

I meant to ask you if you made the teapot lamp. If so, I'd love a tutorial. I have a teapot that is screaming for a purpose. Thanks!!!

Glad to hear you had a GREAT weekend with your lovely daughters.
Good blog post and even more fun to have bumped into you and have heard it first hand in person!!! Seeing the love in your eyes and the happiness in your voice was so evident that you got just what you needed!
Lotsa love,
Gail

Tracey - I hadn't realized how much your Sunday Words of Wisdom had become such a routine/ritual for me to read on Sunday morning until it went missing ! Glad to see you had a lovely time ... I'm an, ahem, older bride for the second time around and I sure wish you could have helped me with the planning and such.

One can't help but not feel good when you are in Portland!

I really missed your weekend posts, but I'm so happy to hear that you had a WONDERFUL weekend!

In the end, your ex will really be the loser.
You have so much to look forward to with your children and future grandchildren. Plus, I just know, there is a fabulous guy out there just waiting for someone like you.

Glad that you are back and that you had a good time with your girls. A weekend away does a body good.

Very happy to hear that you had a wonderful weekend away enjoying your family. Just what the Doctor ordered hey?!
