Oooh....it never once crossed my mind to decoupage shoes, antique or otherwise. Of course, I don't think I'd try it on shoes that my daughter would wear frequently or for playshoes, but I can totally see a bit of embellishment on the special dress shoes for Easter or Christmas (maybe some holly and berries to disguise the bit of toe wear on her hand-me-down faux-patent from her cousins?) Thanks for a wonderful, fun idea!

Kathy

Really nice examples. That black chair is charming. I haven't decoupaged anything in years. It used to be a bit of a pain. I think they've improved the materials these days? I have a few things I'd like to tackle but then I put it aside afraid it won't turn out the way I have it pictured. Now you have me thinking again..that's always dangerous!
Best,
Kathy
Nice to see Bear doesn't look concerned with any problems.

Oh, I love all your painted treasures! There are a few pieces in my home right now that could use a makeover. Thanks for the inspiration! ~ Lynda

Loved the pics - I adore decoupage. And regarding the conehead - cracked me up! I had to do that to my cat once, and she looked so defeated while in-coned!

You know how to get our creative juices flowing. :o) I especially love the baby shoes all dolled up.

Your garage is *really* clean. ;o)

Love the photos.

I thrifted my 13 year olds entire bedroom set. $70 for a chest, mirrored dresser, headboard and nightstand. All bought at "different" garage sales, thrift stores (night stand was trash picked!), etc. I painted it all up and it looks like a beautiful matching bedroom set. . . for extremely little money. She's the envy of her friends too, they love her bedroom furniture. . . . I've been wanting to post a picture of her set on my blog for months. . . as soon as she cleans her room up so I can photograph it, however! Oh, I think it will still be a while until I can do that!!

Tracey have a blessed day and take care of Mr. Bear (and yourself...you're a very, very busy lady)!

Blessings!
