Oooooh! Look at this beauty! (see the darling bird on top?)
I found it at Fred Meyers in Portland a few weeks back, and I saw such amazing possibilities.(OK, it doesn't sit crooked, I just seem to photograph a bit sideways...I need to work on that...use my tripod more often maybe...)
I am drawn to layers, and tiered stands of all sorts. (some of my family members would say I have a "problem" in this area, but they'd be wrong.) I have cake pedestals, tiered basket trays, even a metal framed thing-a-ma-jig that holds three tiered plates. Oh,by the way, it wasn't white when I bought it. No, it looked like this-
Very cute, just not "me", in that charcoal, gun metal gray kind of color.
Now, I just need to decide where and what I am going to use it for first. In the office, holding ribbons and tags maybe? On a buffet table full of cookies or, cupcakes?! In a bathroom filled with toiletries? On a patio full of assorted cheeses and crackers and breads?

Love the stand...very cute. You could fill it with little pumpkins if fall ever gets here!

I love reading your blog. I fell upon it from another persons blog list. The cupboards look great and the three tiered stand is irresistable! I used a similar stand for ribbons and tags in a craft room that I decorated for a friend. But I know it will look BEAUTIFUL wherever you choose to use it!

Oh, I love the pumpkin idea or gourds, with some bittersweet twined about!! Nice for apples too. Wish we had Fred Meyers in the Northeast.

I have the same exact stand. I have the gray one, and I use it in the kitchen for fruit. I love it.

Do you antique this with a glaze as well? Love it so much! I've seen it and ALMOST bought it several times, but wasn't fond of the color as well. Duh, I KNOW you can paint things so why didn't I think of painting this? It's so pretty! And your kitchen is fabulous!! Just don't know why a magazine hasn't asked to do an article on your sweet home, yet. I know it will happen, just don't know when...

I love that and I can't believe the difference painting it white made. I have a thing for tiered stands too and find them hard to resist. I have one that has faux lemons in it. During the holidays I put ornaments and beaded garland in it. For fall, mixed nuts in the shells look good.

Very whimsical :) It would definitely be out all the time with a different display each month....who am I kidding? ...every week!

Very cute.
I think it would great to be used seasonally. Pumpkins and gourds now, cookies and candies later for Christmas with greenery at the bottom.
Be sure to show us what your decide to do!!

It's darling. You have true vision lady. Many people cannot look at something and see what it could be, only what it is.
I'd probably use it to display holiday items; pumpkins & leaves, Christmas bulbs, hearts, bunnies & chicks - and then the in-between times - - I'd probably place it in the kitchen with fruit - - so I don't forget to get my 5 a day!! Pears, grapes, bananas, whatever was in season.

Tracey,
It was so good to catch up on your blog. You are so inspiring. The kitchen looks wonderful, the wedding looked fabulous, and now you're doing the tumbleweed cotillion. The folders are very impressive. You're such a talented lady. Congratulations on all your hardwork. It really shows in the finished product how much you care.
Kudos, Amanda

Nice tiered stand with endless display possibilities. The whitewash really fancies it up...and will make everything in (on)it look so much fresher. Isn't it amazing what a little paint and a little ribbon does to things?

Love the stand. Love both colors! This is truly a stand for all seasons. I can picture it with seasonal fluff in the top tier and get down to business stuff in the bottom ones. Uh.. did you notice it had a little bird on it? haha... Made for thee!

this stand is so cool- I love birds. It has so many endless possibilities!! I like the idea of putting in the bathroom, filled with lots of little soaps, lotions and hand towels!
PS- how come I never find things like this ? *sigh* :-)

This little 3 tiered stand is precious and full of personality with your special touch. Can you share the colors and technique you used?
Thanks...bj

at Christmas time you can fill it with varying sizes and colors of shiny Christmas ball ornaments and attach streamers of curly red ribbon from the top streaming down. Would be very pretty.
