A little peek at a sweet treat

Candy_bars_001      I've been working on little treats to welcome our extra special guests that will be staying at the Bed and Breakfast for the weekend of the wedding. Tomorrow I'll show you the finished product, but for today, I just had to share these fancy candy bars.

Candy_bars_003      Custom candy bar wraps are about the easiest thing there ever was to make. Simply remove the existing label from the candy bar, leaving on the foil wrap, (I used Cadbury chocolate and caramel bars- the big ones were on sale at the grocery...) take a piece of scrap book paper, cut it out and glue it as sleeve around the candy bar. Add a French ribbon wired bow ($1 sale bin at Michaels!) and you are there.

Oh, yes. I think these will make everyone feel special.

Those are just so cute!!! Your guests will LOVE all of these special touches--it will be a wedding that they talk about for months to come.

And, as a recent wedding guest who received a welcome bag in my hotel room, I think that its a wonderful gesture.

Tracey, all these details are what make an event delightful and guests feel special. You are every bit as charming as your sweets!

Jenny

There you go again with one more terrific detail! Thanks for sharing.
Best,
Kathy

What a nifty idea!!!

The B&B looks awesome!

Those candy bars are adorable. I am thinking that Christmas ones would be so cute for co-workers! Now I just have to remember that idea until Christmas, LOL.

Janet

Once again, you have a brilliant and affordable solution that is enchanting and beautiful! That's why I stop by every day:>) Have no fear, your guests will love all the beautiful little touches you are creating!

Tracey, if you keep showing all these wonderful wedding stuff, I am likely to get in my car and crash the wedding ;-p
Love Clarice

Darling! I love the way the dots on the ribbon echo the dots at the center of the flowers. Delightful and delectible. You, my dear, are a thoughtful hostess!
Rita

I love do keep these in a bowl by the front door during Christmas. It's a special little treat to hand out to carolers, delivery people, and anyone who stops by with holiday wishes!

You did a lovely job, the colors are super pretty!

That's the cutest idea!

Another creative and affordable idea!

Tracey, as usual, so simple but so very elegant and thoughtful!! Such a nice touch. You really do think things through and it shows. I decided to do a giveaway on my blog to get some ideas about Victoria ~ I hope it works! Come join, you might win one of the goodies...xxoo, Dawn

So pretty! I think I saw this on Marthas website for wedding ideas or somewhere like that. (my daughter will be getting married soon as well!) Your guests will know they are cherrished because of all the details!

Wonderful ideas for the wedding! Did you use regular glue for the paper or did you hot glue them? Would love to try this, also. Debbie G.

I used a glue stick on the candy bars, but had to use a glue gun on the bottled water,(In the next post, shown above this one)because the paper was thicker and didn't want to stay stuck.

You outdid yourself...everything is PERFECT!
