It's no secret to anyone that I am half crazy into nests, birds and pretty anything associated with them. So, you can imagine the pure delight I felt when, out junkin' today, we came upon this beauty of a bird feeder. I stole this treasure from a guy (Who clearly had no idea of the value of the prize he had) for a mere two dollars. Ya baby. I'm just. that. good.
I won't be able to put bird feed in it of course, because that would just be mean, what with Mr. Bear and Moose hanging around under the tree just waiting to scare the ba-jeebees out of any little bird that dared to try and stop by for a snack there. *sigh* Oh well. I just know it's just gonna make the yard.

What a beautiful bird feeder! Hah! I had to laugh out loud imagining Mr. Bear and Moose...too funny!

You ARE that good -- great score!!! I had to laugh -- I can't put out birdseed either. One of my cats is really really fast. My putting out birdseed makes me an accessory to bird murder. But that feeder makes your yard. Tweet Sweet.

I, also, love birds and nests. I
have quite a collection of nests.
My favorite is my hummingbird nest.
It's so tiny!

OH, my! I'm obviously living on the wrong side of the tracks in this town. I never find goodies like this out here! I'm going to have to find a way to sneak into your backyard for a "birds-eye-view" one of these days. My yard doesn't look nearly as neat and tidy as your beautiful one. I am a sucker for birds too, somewhere near 10 feeders in winter, but have resorted to only feeding hummers in summer as was overtaken by the volunteer sunflowers from the feeders! Quick tip from my better half-I use shepard hooks to hang the feeders, but he pounds in several feet of hollow steel tubing in the ground that I then can insert the shepard hooks in. Two fold, raises them up as high as you want with the tubing, and the shepard hooks will spin when the cats try to attack.
