I thought for today's Inspiration Friday I'd share places in my home that have an infusion of lace. You all inspired me yesterday to go that extra mile and add some lace to my linen entertaining closet! (Extra thanks to Deb for the suggestion!)
Aah, lace. It softens a room, adds a vintage feel, and can cover a multitude of sins (like a watermarked table top, or a bad view out a window)To me, lace adds a touch of romance to any room.
I am pretty partial to lace. Back in April, I even shared a wonderfully inspiring book, entitled, "Living with Lace".
A jar filled with vintage looking ribbons and lace, or a vintage lace table scarf thrown over a dressform adds a romantic feel to a room, don't you agree?

Lovely! I can think of all kinds of shelves in my house that could use a little lace. Thanks.

Love the lace!
Your linen closet is so nice, it reminds me of one that is at our local tea house -will get a pic of it next trip.
Have you though of hanging a tiny mirror on the back of one of the shelves in it? Or a framed piece of old lace?

Very beautiful! I love the lace runner and the wire plant basket on the table - so simply elegant.

Oh Tracey, you're the best. Your beautiful pictures help me in two ways, maybe three. They give me ideas for my own home. They inspire me to clean and scrub and beautify even my closets. AND they are so very rich that they help satisfy my longing for sweets..... really! What more could I ask.
And thanks for the detailed help with the sign project. I will think of you as we enjoy it.

sigh..I love lace too! I can get all ecstatic about a little piece of lace I find for sale at an estate or auction(it never leaves my home!) and lace adds such a soft, elegant touch. Ispiring Post!

I love ALL your photos, but especially like the idea of the lace on the mantle.

Love, love, love the lace!! I was going to tack pompom trim on my daughter's shelves but I may try lace instead. It's funny how similar we may be. My cousin bought a new home 2 years ago and I decorated her mantle much the same way you did. Her husband is from Turkey and her MIL crochets the most beautiful things. Thank you for sharing your photos. Gorgeous as always!! Elise

Your photos inspire me to go and get my lace doilies and runners out of the cupboard. I love the idea of filling a jar with bits of vintage lace.

I never thought I'd be a lace person, but I add more here and there for each year I grow older ;-) Your silver looks stunning against the lace and black paint.
