While in Portland last weekend. we managed to hit Powell's Books, the best bookstore on the planet (anyway the best one I've ever been in) They have it all. New and used, buy or trade. In the store, or online. I was in absolute heaven in the home decor section, and I didn't come away empty handed.
I have been wanting this book for forever, and I found a used copy in perfect condition. It was priced less than half off.
It's put out by Seasons of Canon Falls and it is laid out by seasons and holidays. Oh, such inspiration!
With each page I got more ideas (and I got them all at more than half off, people!)
Whether it's summer or spring, or Christmas time, the ides amazed me and inspired me to get moving. *sigh* If only there were more hours in my day.

I have that book as well & love it. I know what you mean about hours in a day....though,I think that you do a remarkable amount with your 24!

Ohh I have been wanting to check out this book, thank for the peek. By the way I think if I ever go to Powells, I will never come out. I would be lost in their old children’s book section forever. xoxox Clarice

I have that book, too! It is so in spirational. I like the fact it has the same rooms and same places all decked out for different holidays.... Ditto to Kim's comment. I think you do amazing things in your day!

Gayla,
That sounds very cool that it has the same rooms decorated for the different holidays. I will have to look for the book.
Tracey - in the post below, I love the pic with the shutters.

Tracey, I've heard of Powell's bookstore some ten years ago... and I've never been west of the Rockies, so I am guessing you are right, it IS the best book store on the planet. And you got some really good buys, but then you do know how to shop. Enjoy. And thanks for sharing.

Ah yes, Powells. I agree, it's the best! Pretty thankful for them so I don't always have to give my money to the chains. Next time you're in Portland, check on the Powell's Books for Cooks on Hawthorne Blvd. They carry primarily cook books, home decor, and gardening books. All my favs under one roof! Heaven Part II!
:-)
Gorgeous book and how cool you didn't have to pay full price!
