KIm and Cindy have been sharing "Inspiration Fridays" for a bit now. (Thanks for sharing these, girls!) I love this idea! Such inspiration.
I have millions of magazine pages, as I am guessing they do. Such great ideas to share, and what better way that each Friday. Fabulous food for thought for the upcoming weekend.
I told you a short while back that I tear ideas out of magazines before I pitch them in the trash. Here is what I do with those pages once I tear them out.
Several years ago while garage saling, I found 2 old bicycle baskets. I snatched them up, and they have been my file system container ever since. I have manila folders labeled in each one alphabetically, sorted by room names, and things like Entertaining, Craft Ideas, Landscape, Fences, organization ides..you get the concept. Do you have a clever system you use? Share it with us!
Now that I am getting my office organized and ready to be painted (yes, I do mean after I finish those kitchen cupboards) I find myself going through these filing folder quite a lot. Some of the pages are pretty old, but wow, are they inspirational! So many ideas to get my mind reeling, thinking of all the possibilities for each and every room of my cottage.
I am thinking I just may join Kim and Cindy next Friday by sharing some of the pages of ideas I have gathered over time...now, doesn't that sound like a fun idea?

Haa, I keep the whole magazines. I have tons. Boxes and boxes of old mag. sorted by season. I reread them at my afternoon bath every day. It just feeds my soul. Thank goodness do inspirations. xoxo Clarice

I hope you share your inspirations too! Thanks to you I am going to tackle painting my kitchen cupboards too. What are your steps in doing this? Sanding, priming, painting? I value your advice :)

I'm so glad you are thinking about joining in on Inspiration Fridays. I would love to see what inspires you...probably because YOU inspire me. I don't have a system yet for my magazine tear outs but I'm thinking of getting plastic sheet protectors and binders to store them.

I have been using plastic page protectors and binders for a couple years, it seems the best way to keep everything straight and in good order and makes a fun convenient book to flip through for inspiration. I love your blog and the ideas you have! I check it every day (sometimes more than once:>O) Thanks for sharing your cool ideas.

Tracey you are entirely inspiring. Bicycle baskets are a perfect, inspirational fit. What I use are colored folders -- red for Christmas, green for kitchen, blue for bedrooms, etc. Some of my files date back quite a ways, yet they inspire me still.

Bicycle baskets as file containers is a super-duper idea. I'll be on the lookout for some of those. I hope to join Cindy in the inspiration Friday too by next week. I should have most of our unpacking done by that time. It's a super inspiration for me now that I have a new, smaller, apartment to decorate. I've enjoyed visiting your blog. xoxo

I keep the whole magazine. Sometimes I think I should start cutting out but there are usually too many things in each magazine that it's easier just to save the whole issue. I'm afraid I'd have such a huge pile of papers and I might never get them organized.
But I love to read about what other people do and how they organize theirs.

How cool is that. Doncha you know they would love them. Also my paperbacks go in bags to them. Green green
