I just had to share another great book. I've had this one for a while, but I saw it on another Blog last week, and I was reminded how much I adore looking through it, and simply had to share.
It's a walk through Mary Engelbreit's "dream home" as she calls it. Talk about inspiration! Every inch, inside and out is full of wonderful touches and details.
The picture of the outside of her home (which isn't as old as it looks!) says it all. Warm, cozy, charming, right out of a storybook. Not only are the photographs inspiring, but it tells the story of how she and her husband Phil came to be the owners of the home, and why they love it so.
The book isn't so much the old Mary Engelbreit decor look, with busy bright prints and cherries everywhere (although her signature cherries can be found sprinkled in throughout the home, but oh so subtlety- like on the shutters on the home )
This is the kind of book that motivates me to spruce up every nook and cranny, and long for it to be long enough past snow season to be planting oodles and toodles of flowers in pots for every window and porch corner. Aah, perfect reading for an early Tuesday morning with my cuppa cocoa.

just wanted to tell you, they opened a cupcake place here in Dallas last week. Its the same one they have in Beverly Hills. I think its called Sprinkles. The line was so long at closing time they had an employee stand at the end to turn people away. This made the news! With your decorating style, and your darling cookies you would make the news. You could do this Ms Doer!

I so enjoy your blog...I too have a book I adore. It is by Emilie Barnes & is called 'Welcome Home'. Your cupcakes inspired me to make a cupcake tree for my daughters 26th birthday...she is a big kid & insists on sprinkle cake every year. I will be posting pics of these on my blog later today. www.farmerdi.blogspot.com
Thanks for all the inspirations!
hugs

I haven't seen that book - but it sounds wonderful. Just the thing to order and anticipate while I'm in this forced sedentary mode, don't you think?

You are the second blog I have seen this week to recommend this book. I think it just moved up higher in priority on my wish list. Thanks!
