I have a dirty little secret I am going to share with you. My name is Tracey and I am a pack rat.
My cottage workshop has been officially declared a war zone. It has sadly been in this state for a while now.
I go junkin', I return home, unload into the workshop, and leave. I begin a project, make a mess, and leave..I am seeing a pattern here.
I woke up this morning and made a decision.. Today is the day I am tackling my Cottage Workshop. Can't put it off any longer. I have managed to get he workshop in such a state that there is literally no room to "work" in it. Actually I am not quite sure HOW it got to be in this state.*sigh*....
I have an organized a game plan of attack. Step One; Buy kitty litter to put in some of the pints and quarts of paint I have piled up that I now realize I am never going to use. (you add the kitty litter to the paint to thicken it up and when it is all dried up, you can throw it out in the garbage) You see, I went through this stage where I thought ANY color in Home Depots miss mix pile was good...seems I was wrong. Time to admit it, and move on.
I have saved every knob or pull that I removed from old furniture and it seems that in the mid 60's every company used the SAME knobs. I am going to have to take a hard look at this and figure out exactly what can really be done with 78 matching pulls. I see a trip to the Salvation Army drop off in my week.
I'm putting on my game face and heading out there now. Wish me luck.
